Friends of Crimea Street Films
A warm Northern welcome to all our visitors

Celebrating the films 1957 - 1966Established in 1973, the Friends of Crimea Street Films (FCSF) exists to celebrate the pictures made during a 9-year period in the late 50's/early 60's.These were unapologetically Northern, black and white films that captured a period in history when so much was changing not only in Britain but across the world.Alongside other 'kitchen sink' dramas of the time, Alistair Dunmore and his team brought picture house goers a realism that remains powerful to this day.Every month we reflect on five of them and bring background information, images, profiles and nuggets of information. We hope you enjoy exploring our new website!
